Our Story
The group has its origin in late 1970s, when the brothers Mr Sajjan Kumar Gupta and Mr Purusottam Parmanandka, moved to Tirupur to set up shop for procuring of knitted fabric. They formed their first company 'Shree Balaji Industries', in 1981. The main activity of this company was sourcing and trading of knitting Yarn, which still remains a core activity of the group. In the Tirupur market, the group is known by this company and popularly referred to as the 'Balaji' Group.
In the early 1990s, we introduced our Knitting Arm, by installing 8 imported Circular Knitting Machines. Ever since, we have continuously invested and upgraded the machinery. Today, this arm has over 60 modern & hi-tech machines of the most reputable brands of the world, capable of converting 15 tons of yarn into fabric, per day.
The year 2005 saw the formation of our Wind Energy division that boasted of the installation of the first 750 KW Windmill in the state of Tamil nadu. We have gradually increased the Wind Energy generation capacity to around 3MW.
2012 marked the establishment of our Spinning Division, by means of which we initiated a vertical backward integration. The 12,000 Spindles division is now the backbone of the group; and alongwith the Knitting division, enables us to have tighter control over the product quality.
